If you’re starting out, our foundation courses are a great place to begin your coffee journey, but are also fantastic way to refresh your skills, if you’re currently in the coffee industry. With a mixture of theory and practical, we explore the in’s and out’s of espresso and brew method equipment, coffee extraction and the diversity of milk options available throughout the industry.

Barista Training – Group Day Course
Introduction to Barista – From the machine to the menu, we cover everything you need to know to operate and clean the equipment, pull excellent espresso, texture lucious milk and construct all the main drinks you find in a cafe. No experience required
Intermediate Barista – Got a bit of knowledge and experience under your belt but want to upskill? This course focuses on calibration of grinder and machine, milk skills and multiple drink production and drink presentation

minimum of 4 learners to maximum of 6 learners
Sites will be visited and assessed on specific areas or full service determined by instruction from business. Full written report will be provided and an experience review conducted face to face

Our foundation skills workshop
Our foundation courses are not only a great place to start for those looking to begin their coffee journey but are also a refresher course for those baristas already established in the coffee industry. With a mixture of theory and practical, we explore the in’s and out’s of espresso and equipment, coffee extraction and the diversity of milk options available throughout the industry.
Aspiring barista will leave with:

The advanced skills workshop
Building on knowledge learnt in our Foundation in Espresso workshop, learners will be introduced to soft brew or filter methods, which when partnered with a variety of single origin coffee will bring a different point of view for the coffee industry. We dive deeper in the technical aspects of brewing equipment, teaching grinder calibration and machine troubleshooting, which could save an expensive call-out fee from a specialist. Want to learn how to make that iconic fern or tulip on your flat white? We take you through the steps and techniques of beautiful latte art.
